Troubleshooting

I got an error!
Most errors are caused by something wrong in your saved variables. Here are the things you can do to fix them:

/sbf fix to try and repair corrupted saved variables
/sbf reset to reset the profile for the logged in character
Go into the SBF options, then to the Global Options tab. Click the Reset Frames button to reset all saved variables. You will need to set SBF up again for all characters.
If all else fails, exit WoW completely and delete SatrinaBuffFrame.lua in ...World of Warcraft/WTF/Account/ACCOUNTNAME/SavedVariables, then log back in. You will need to set SBF up again for all characters.

Okay, I tried all of that but still get the error

Comments are disabled at Curse, since I never check them

/sbf options does nothing at all!
It is 99% likely that you got an error, but you have Lua error reporting turned off in game. Hit ESC, go to the Interface options. Click on "Help" in the left hand list. Make sure Display Lua Errors is selected. Reload your UI and try /sbf options again. If you see the error now, try the stuff above.

I tried /sbf options (or closed the options) and I got the placeholder effects but no options window (or the placeholder effects won't go away!), what's up?

The list on the Spells Tab is empty!

SBF: SBFOptions version X does not match SBF version Y

Make sure you extract both the SatrinaBuffFrame and SBFOptions directories from the zip file, and that they got extracted properly into their directories

I don't see the SBFOptions addon in my addons list

Make sure you extracted both the SatrinaBuffFrame and SBFOptions directories from the zip file, and that they got extracted properly into their directories
SatrinaBuffFrame and SBFOptions are separate and complete addons. SBFOptions should not be moved into the SatrinaBuffFrame directory!

Error loading SBF configuration frame: DISABLED

Log out and enable the SBFOptions addon in the AddOns menu at the character select screen.
